REVISITING THE PAST - ST. JOHN'S IN THE 1960s

DIGITIZED PAGES OF A SOUVENIR BOOK
COMMEMORATING THE DEDICATION OF
EXTENSIONS IN ST. JOHN'S BY
Y.A.B. TUN DR. ISMAIL ABDUL RAHMAN
MINISTER OF HOME AFFAIRS
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 1967

"To our devoted patron and chairman Tun Dr. Ismail bin Dato Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs, this small photographic tribute is dedicated. To him also is dedicated the more durable school Hall which is being opened today. Within the lofty walls of Dewan Tun Dr. Ismail will forever be enshrined the nobility of the Minister of State who gave his spare time and energy to the building up of a school while his official duties called him to the building of a nation. Truly he shows that the building of a school is the building of a nation."

That brief period of time when St. John's exterior was all-white

 Are you in this photograph?

Or this one here instead?

Very spacious a canteen for a 4000-student institution

I wonder where did the portrait of Tun Dr. Ismail and Toh Puan Neno on both sides of the stage go?
